What CraftBatch does
CraftBatch is production management software for artisan makers. It tracks recipes with automatic cost rollups, manages ingredient inventory with lot traceability, plans production batches with auto-generated pick lists, and handles allergen tracking for UK food safety and CLP cosmetics labelling.
Who it's for
Owner-operators of 1-3 person artisan production businesses in the UK: small bakeries, soap and candle makers, chocolate producers, jam and preserve makers, cosmetics formulators, and craft food and drink producers selling direct to customers via Etsy, Shopify, farmers markets, and small wholesale accounts.
Why it exists
Artisan producers outgrow notebooks and spreadsheets as soon as they have 10+ recipes, multiple sales channels, and food safety obligations. They need to know what went into each batch, what each product costs to make, whether they have enough ingredients for tomorrow's production, and what allergens need declaring. Enterprise manufacturing software costs $199+/month and is designed for factory floors. The tools that come closest are either US-focused or target restaurants, not makers. UK artisan producers have no production tool built for them — at a price they can afford.
